Starck Architects designed a 28,000 s.f. Central Operations Facility for the City of Fall River Water Department at 1620 Bedford Street, Fall River, MA. The project was a consolidation of multiple existing facilities throughout the City into one new central location. Starck Architects engaged the Fall River Water Department in a detailed programming process to determine space needs and assisted with the site planning.
The project includes administrative offices, indoor parking garage, automotive service/wash bay facility, men’s and women’s bathrooms and locker facilities, and storage space. The Project approach consists of a multi-phase approach including the construction of the new building, demolition of an existing abandoned building on the site and final site construction inclusive of new utilities, access roadway and surface parking areas.
